Job Description

This Position is Contingent on Contract Award. It supports a repatriation initiative providing comprehensive care for migrants awaiting reunification or repatriation, including initial screening, exams, and routine to emergency care. International SOS seeks an experienced Dentist to diagnose, treat oral health issues, perform procedures, and educate patients on oral hygiene, ensuring overall health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive examinations of teeth, gums, and oral tissues to diagnose and develop treatment plans.
  • Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
  • Provide preventive care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and the importance of regular checkups.
  • Diagnose oral diseases, conditions, abnormalities, and create treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Provide emergency dental care for acute issues.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment.
  • Stay updated with advancements through continuing education.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements/Certifications
  • Unrestricted dental license in the US (State, D.C., Puerto Rico, or US territory).
  • Successful completion of the NBDE by the JCNDE.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Education
  • DMD or DDS from an ADA or CODA-accredited school recognized by the US Department of Education.
Physical Requirements
  • Work typically in an office environment.
  • Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Qualifications
  • US Citizen or possess a permanent resident card.
  • Current MRPT Clearance preferred.
Additional Information
