Job description

This position involves professional dental work, including the examination, care, and treatment of teeth and oral tissues for patients in City dental facilities. The employee directs and supervises conventional and expanded duty dental auxiliary personnel and coordinates with dental hygienists and dental assistants to deliver team‑based dental care under the general direction of a dental supervisor.

Employees are eligible for a lump sum hiring bonus of $3,000, paid in two installments: $1,500 after 3 months of satisfactory full‑time probationary employment and $1,500 after 12 months of satisfactory full‑time employment.

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited school of dentistry with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine.

Licensing & Certifications

  • Valid license to practice dentistry in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania issued by the Pennsylvania State Dental Council and Examining Board.

Physical and Medical Requirements

  • Ability to physically perform the duties and work in the environmental conditions required for this position.
