Job summary

City of Philadelphia seeks a licensed dentist to provide examination, care and treatment of teeth in city dental facilities. This role directs and supervises conventional and expanded duty dental auxiliary personnel and coordinates with hygienists and assistants in a team-based delivery of dental care.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of dentistry with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine.
  • Ability to coordinate dental hygienists and dental assistants within a team delivery of care.

Responsibilities

General Job Description:

This is professional dental work in the examination, care and treatment of teeth and oral tissues of patients in City dental facilities. An employee in this class is responsible for directing and supervising the activities of conventional and expanded duty dental auxiliary personnel and coordinate with dental hygienists and dental assistants in the team delivery of dental care. Work is performed under the general direction of a dental supervisor.

Qualifications

The Requirements are as follows:

EDUCATION:

Graduation from an accredited school of dentistry with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine.
