Description

Summary: The Staff Dentist will provide comprehensive dental services to patients and assist the Dental Director as needed in specified areas.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and comprehensive dental care, including oral exams, treatment planning, diagnosis, x-ray interpretation, operative/restoration, prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and preventive education.
• Assist the Dental Director in staff recruitment, selection, orientation, and performance appraisal.
• Maintain and compile records and reports such as Federal 330 grant, Healthcare Plans, QI, etc.

Qualifications:

• D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school
• Minimum of two (2) years experience as a general dentist preferred
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, supervisory, clinical, and organizational skills
• Interest in employment at a community health center
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
• Experience with dental electronic medical records preferred
• NYS License
