Responsibilities

• Maintain legible, compliant documentation in patient charts.
• Contribute to continuing education to stay current with techniques.
• Bill and document all encounters accurately.
• Guide dental assistants and front office staff.
• Perform duties assigned by the Dental Director.
• Occasionally cover at other clinics.

Job Description

A Moravia, NY based client is looking for an experienced and collaborative Dentist to provide dental care to all ages. An ideal candidate values providing equitable and evidence-based care to all patients. Dentists must have good organizational skills, collaborative skills, and will assist with supervising dental assistants and hygienists.

Required Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide basic primary dental care including diagnostic, preventive, and restorative dental care
• Provide patient referrals to specialists as appropriate
• Facilitate oral health education for patients both clinically and in outreach settings
• Consult with patients physicians when appropriate
• Maintain legible, legal documentation in patient charts as directed by department policies
• Participate in continuing education to stay abreast on new techniques and procedures in the field of dentistry
• Accurately bill and document all encounters
• Provide guidance for dental assistants and front office staff
• Perform all duties assigned by the Dental Director
• Provide occasional coverage at other clinics
• Maintain professionalism while in the workplace and interacting with patients and colleagues
