About ODHS & what we offer

Open Door Health Services is a not-for-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center. We provide comprehensive primary, urgent, and preventive healthcare services, as well as select specialty services and social support programs. Our physicians, nurse practitioners, behavioral health providers, and staff offer friendly, expert care for individuals and families throughout East Central Indiana—with or without insurance. Ability to pay is not a barrier to care. Services are offered at multiple locations in Muncie and Anderson.

• Perform complete dental exams, manage patient needs, interpret data, and maintain records.

• Order and evaluate diagnostic procedures, administer medications, advise patients, manage emergencies, and ensure compliance with policies.

Education and Experience:

• Dental Degree from an accredited school.
• Experience in community health preferred.
• Indiana Dental License and DEA License 21 required.

• Stay current with practice changes, maintain certifications, and respect patient confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and understand socio-economic factors.

Performance Requirements:

• Knowledge of dental practices, safety, and record-keeping. Skills in patient assessment and relationship management.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Exposure to clinical hazards, ability to work long hours, and lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to work under stress and with adaptive equipment if needed.
