The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a dedicated and experienced dentist to manage the Community Care dental program. This position offers a unique opportunity to improve dental care access for Veterans by building and refining external provider relationships that deliver timely, high-quality care when VA capacity is limited.
Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
Basic Requirements:
This is an open continuous announcement, remaining open until July 30, 2025, or until all positions are filled. The first cut-off date is July 11, 2025. The dentist will oversee activities related to community care consult processing for outpatient dental care outsourced to community providers. Responsibilities include clinical care coordination, adherence to policies, managing referrals, and providing direct patient care, including examinations, diagnoses, and various dental procedures.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Telework is ad-hoc as per agency direction. This is not a virtual position.
