Summary:

The Staff Dentist will provide comprehensive dental services to patients and assist the Dental Director as needed in specified areas.

Requirements:

• Provides direct and comprehensive care, including oral exams, treatment planning, diagnosis, x-ray interpretation, operative/restoration, removable and fixed prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and preventive education.
• Assists the Dental Director in staff recruitment, selection, orientation, ensuring all dental staff have current job descriptions, are aware of their responsibilities, and are appraised of their performance.
• Assists in maintaining and compiling records and reports such as Federal 330 grant, Health Care Plans, QI, etc.

Qualifications:

• D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school
• Minimum of two years' experience as a general dentist preferred
• Interpersonal, leadership, supervisory, clinical, and organizational skills
• Interest in employment at a community health center
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
• Experience with dental electronic medical records preferred
• NYS License
