Job summary

COMC is seeking a licensed dentist in Missouri to provide comprehensive dental health care to patients within the clinic’s space and resources. The role includes delivering exam, preventive and treatment services, supervising hygienists and assistants, and maintaining accurate EHR records.

You will develop treatment plans, educate patients, and participate in quality improvement and clinic programs to support our mission of accessible care and community health.

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed in Missouri to practice dentistry.
• Must have received a D.M.D. or D.D.S. from an accredited dental school.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
• Ability to effectively present information to the Dental Director/CEO.
• Ability to work with accounting concepts.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers the full range of dental services including examinations, assessment, preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of dental patients.
• Provide local anesthesia prior to administering treatments
• Perform dental procedures such as cleanings, root canals, surgical extractions, fillings, etc.
• Apply agents to teeth such as sealants.
• Order diagnostic measures such as x-rays, models, etc.
• Educate patients and parents of patients on maintaining proper oral health
• Develop and communicate treatment plans for dental patients for improved oral hygiene
• Implement and participate in dental programs consistent with COMC’s goals and objectives.
• Recommend dental supply and equipment purchases to the Dental Director/CEO.
• Maintain detailed, properly documented patient records in the EHR system in keeping with COMC’s medical records policy.
• Supervise work of dental hygienists and dental assistants to assure compliance with accepted infection control policies.
• Participate in all COMC Quality Improvement policies and activities.
• Attend company meetings and events as required.
• Other duties as assigned

Travel Requirement

To fulfill the responsibility of the position travel to all COMC locations may be required. Employee must have valid Missouri driver’s license and availability of a motor vehicle.
