Job Description

This position is contingent upon contract award and supports a repatriation initiative providing comprehensive care for migrant individuals awaiting reunification or repatriation, including initial screening, exams, and routine to emergency medical care.

International SOS seeks an experienced Dentist to diagnose and treat oral health issues, perform dental procedures, and educate patients on oral hygiene, ensuring overall health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct examinations of teeth, gums, and oral tissues to diagnose issues and develop treatment plans.
  • Perform procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
  • Provide preventive care including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and the importance of regular checkups.
  • Diagnose oral diseases and abnormalities, creating treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Provide emergency dental care.
  • Collaborate with dental team members for comprehensive care.
  • Ensure sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment.
  • Stay updated with advancements in dental technology and practices.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements/Certifications:

  • Unrestricted dental license in the US (state, DC, Puerto Rico, or US territory).
  • Successful completion of the NBDE by the JCNDE.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Education:

  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from an ADA or CODA-approved school.

Physical Requirements

  • Work in a typical office environment.
  • Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Bending, stooping, lifting up to 15 lbs.

Other Qualifications

  • US Citizenship or permanent resident status.
  • Preferred: Current MRPT clearance.

Additional Information
