Job summary

Family Health Care in Michigan is seeking a qualified dentist to join its community health center. You will provide comprehensive dental services alongside a collaborative care team, with support from on-site medical, behavioral health, and pharmacy services.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases of teeth and gums.
• Treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues.
• Fit dental appliances and provide preventive care; maintain records.
• Review and notify patients of test results; and
• Respond to patient care tasks and calls in line with best practice.

• Patients are assigned to individual dentists to allow for continuity of care
• Other dentist(s) in the office to allow for treatment collaboration and mentorship
• Wide variety of procedures completed in-office (composites, amalgams, dentures, partials, extractions, crown and bridge, endo, etc.)
• Medical clinic and pharmacy on site

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums;
• treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting oral hygiene and retention of teeth;
• fit dental appliances or provide preventive care to dental clinic patients; maintain dental records;
• review and notify patients of diagnostic test and consultation results; and
• respond to patient care tasks and phone calls consistent with good dental practice.
