Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our team at Dr. Sean Avera's periodontal practice in Auburn, California. The primary role of the Dental Treatment Coordinator is to partner with clinicians to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for our patients while maintaining a financially viable practice.

What You’ll Be Accountable For:

  • Greet and check in all patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for patients.
  • Present treatment plans to patients and explain their insurance benefits.
  • Obtain financial commitment from patients and ensure they understand their copay.
  • Maintain productive schedules and confirm appointments.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility.
  • Obtain any necessary insurance pre-authorization and referral documentation.
  • Respond to patient billing, treatment, and benefit inquiries.
  • Input patient medications for doctor review and approval.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as State, Federal, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the office manager.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • 5+years experience in a dental office
  • Periodontal experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Patient advocate; empathetic, adaptable, and ethical
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Open dental experience preferred
