Role Description

The Dental Treatment Coordinator is a full-time, on-site position based in Riverview, FL. This role is responsible for guiding patients through their treatment plans, explaining recommended procedures, and answering questions to ensure understanding and comfort.

Daily tasks include scheduling appointments, coordinating follow-up visits, verifying insurance benefits, and presenting financial arrangements and payment options. Must be proficient in insurance verification.

The Dental Treatment Coordinator collaborates closely with the dentist and dental assistants to maintain accurate records, support efficient patient flow, and deliver a high standard of patient care. Professionalism is a must.

This role also involves maintaining a very professional, extremely friendly presence at all times and helping to create an organized, welcoming environment. Looking for an individual willing to help with social media content, growing and driving the start-up dental office and leading the operations to success.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental or medical front office, treatment coordination, or patient care coordination, with strong understanding of common dental procedures and terminology.
• Proficiency in scheduling, patient management software, and maintaining accurate electronic records; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to explain treatment plans, discuss financial options, and support patients in making informed decisions.
• Comfort with insurance verification, benefits explanation, and basic financial counseling related to treatment plans and payment arrangements.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA and practice policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented clinical environment and provide a calm, professional presence in a fast-paced setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; formal dental assisting or dental administration training and prior experience in a dental office are preferred.
• Bilingual skills and previous experience in customer service or patient-facing roles are a plus.
