Responsibilities

  • Evaluate incoming implant cases, including impressions and surgical reports, to determine the restorative path.
  • Design and fabricate implant-supported restorations to case specs.
  • Serve as technical liaison to doctors and oral surgeons for case planning.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and production updates.
  • Use lab software and digital platforms to process orders and documentation.
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate orders with suppliers.
  • Participate in daily scrums and team meetings to share insights.
  • Follow lab safety and QA procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Description
  • Evaluate incoming implant cases, including impressions, scans, surgical reports, and prescriptions, to determine the optimal restorative path
  • Identify implant brands and platforms, confirm component compatibility, and determine whether additional parts must be ordered
  • Serve as the technical liaison to doctors and oral surgeons, collaborating on case planning to select components and resolve complications before fabrication begins
  • Design and fabricate implant-supported restorations to case specifications
  • Communicate with clinical offices, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical questions and keep cases on track
  • Maintain accurate case documentation, including call notes, implant billing sheets, and daily implant work updates
  • Manage workflow so cases meet doctor commitment dates and internal deadlines
  • Use laboratory software and digital platforms to process orders and completion documentation
  • Monitor implant component inventory and coordinate orders with suppliers
  • Participate in daily scrums and team meetings, sharing technical insights, customer feedback, and case challenges
  • Stay current on implant technology, applications, and materials to advance the lab’s technical capabilities
  • Follow all lab safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience in a dental laboratory or clinical dental environment, with a strong emphasis on implant-supported prosthetics
  • Extensive knowledge of implant platforms and multi-unit restorative systems
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex restorative issues under tight production timelines
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for dental professionals
Preferred
  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT) in Implants or Crown & Bridge, or equivalent specialized training in implantology
  • Maintains a professional, solution-oriented demeanor with doctors, vendors, and teammates, even under pressure
  • Approaches doctor relationships as a partner, taking ownership of case outcomes and identifying potential issues before they reach the chair
  • Holds a high standard for detail and consistency, never settling for “good enough”
  • Adapts readily to new processes and technologies, and balances multiple cases without sacrificing accuracy
Physical Demands
  • Sit at a workbench or computer for extended periods
  • Perform repetitive, precise fine-motor tasks with small components, hand tools, and instruments
  • Close visual acuity for detailed work
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds
