Job summary

Dental Specialty Center - Haines City is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support the clinical team in a fast-paced office. You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take X-rays, and assist dentists during procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Ideal candidates have a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months of experience, X-ray certification, and CPR/OSHA/HIPAA familiarity.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.
• X-Ray certification is required.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
