Dental Care Alliance's Dental Specialty Center – Haines City is seeking a PT Surgical Assistant to support our clinical team in a modern Florida office. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, take X-rays, and deliver high-quality patient care in a team-based environment.

Candidates should have a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months on-the-job experience, X-ray and nitrous certifications, and a commitment to OSHA/HIPAA training and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months on-the-job experience with documentation.
• X-Ray certification is required.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental assistants must maintain OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
