Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Should be working toward a Dental Assistant License.
• Prior dental experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean the exam or surgery area, ensure sanitary conditions, and sterilize surfaces and instruments.
• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare examination and surgical rooms by sterilizing instruments and moving equipment into place.
• Maintain infection control and ensure a surgically clean work environment.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment.
• Provide patients with oral care instructions following treatment.
