Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in dental assisting and/or dental sterilization.
• Dental Assistant Program completion required.
• Dental Assistant Certification, Radiation safety, and CPR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation of patient records and required documentation.
• Maintain records of sterilization cycles and spore tests with supervisor signatures.
• Assist chair side in fourhanded dentistry and explain treatments clearly to patients.
• Perform weekly spore tests on sterilization units and log results.
• Manage instrument positioning, prepare operatories and stock supplies.
• Operate x-ray equipment for radiographs as needed.
• Maintain infection control procedures per department policy and assist with infections control questions.
• Maintain inventory of dental materials, forms and equipment.
• Support multiple operatories and ensure smooth patient flow from reception to treatment rooms.
