Job summary

Clove Dental is seeking a Sterilization Technician III to maintain high standards of instrument sterilization and infection control. You will lead the daily workflow, monitor equipment and logs, and support clinical operations with instrument management and case handling.

Role requires accuracy, adherence to HIPAA/OSHA standards, and teamwork across operatories and sterilization areas in Thousand Oaks. This position offers hourly pay and patient-care support duties as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Stock operatories and sterilization areas and notify when inventory is low.
• Sterilize instruments and organize cassettes; ensure lab cases are in order.
• Monitor equipment, testing, logs and infection-control documentation.
• Lead the daily sterilization workflow; ensure instruments are ready and available.
• Scan and send lab cases; support turnover and cleaning between patients.
• Assist with front-office tasks as needed and maintain cleanliness throughout office.

Sterilization Technician III
Pay Range: $21–$23/hour

Assist Dentist

• Clean, disinfect, package, sterilize, and properly store dental instruments according to Company infection-control protocols.

• Maintain sterilization areas, equipment, logs, and required testing in accordance with OSHA and infection-control standards.

• Support X-ray setup and other permitted clinical-support duties when appropriately trained and legally permitted.

Labs/Supplies

• Stock operatories, sterilization areas, and clinical supplies and notify the appropriate team member when inventory is running low.

• Sterilize instruments and make sure cassettes are organized

• Make sure lab cases in office

• Monitor sterilization equipment, testing, logs, and infection-control documentation and identify missing or incomplete requirements.

• Lead the daily sterilization workflow and ensure instruments are properly processed, sterilized, stored, and available when needed without disrupting patient care.

• In charge of scanning and sending lab cases

Patient Experience

• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, attendance, dress, name-badge, and other Company standards.

Office Cleanliness

• Operatories keep organized and clean, Check In / Check Out keep clean, Floors / Lights / Doors (throughout the office)

• Turn over treatment rooms quickly and thoroughly between patients, including disinfecting surfaces and preparing rooms for the next procedure.

• Transport instruments, materials, and supplies between operatories and sterilization while maintaining proper separation of clean and contaminated items.

• Maintain clean and organized clinical, sterilization, laboratory, and supply areas throughout the day.

Leadership

• Answer phones in 2 rings as needed when front office is busy

• Arrive on time and stay until close

• Build schedules to have productive days and be willing to work as needed

• Refer new staff to the recruiting team

• Volunteer for our events, social work, and marketing efforts

• Support dental assistants and providers with basic room setup, breakdown, and non-clinical needs within the permitted scope of the role.

• Support office cleaning, supply organization, and other clinical or operational duties as assigned.

• Hold Sterilization Technician I–II team members accountable for completion and quality of assigned sterilization, turnover, stocking, and cleaning responsibilities.
