Position Overview

The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a General Dentist for a community health center, also known as a federally qualified health center (FQHC), in Waterloo, Iowa.

  • Provides comprehensive primary care for medically under-resourced communities.
  • Offers integrated services including medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy, often under one roof.

Position Details
  • Clinic Hours: Mon/Tues/Fri 8am-5pm; Wed/Thurs 8am-8pm.
  • Schedule: Mon/Tues/Friday 8am-5pm; Wed/Thurs 8am-8pm; one evening until 8PM; no weekends.
  • Patients: 12-16 per day plus hygiene exams.
  • Operatories: 6.
  • Current Staff: 1 dentist, hygienists, assistants.
  • Equipment: Digital X-ray, GenDex, Epic Wisdom EHR.
  • Additional: One day a week in Clarksville at Butler County site.
What We Offer
  • Salary: $166,000 - $184,000/year, based on experience, plus productivity incentives.
  • Student Loan Repayment: Up to $50,000 for a two-year commitment, renewable.
  • Insurance: Medical, dental, life, disability.
  • Contract: 1-3 years.
  • Dues/Fees: Paid by health center.
  • Malpractice: FTCA coverage, GAP, Tail.
  • CME: $3,000/year & 5 days.
  • PTO: 20 days/year.
  • Sick Leave: 7 days/year.
  • Holidays: 7 paid days.
  • Retirement: 401k with up to 5% contribution.
