Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a GDC registered Dental Technician to design and fabricate complex dental appliances (cobalt-chromium frameworks, splints, implants) and provide chairside technical support to clinicians and undergraduate students.

You will use digital scanning technologies, CAD/CAM software, 3D printers and milling systems to produce restorations, manage case workflows in digital lab systems, and mentor junior technicians while contributing to

Qualifications

Hold a BSc in Dental Technology or equivalent.
Hold a nationally recognised Advanced level qualification in Dental Technology or provide evidence of equivalent experience specialising in Prosthetics.
Demonstrable post qualification experience in appropriate discipline; hospital or private laboratory experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Design and fabricate complex, custom-made dental appliances in accordance with clinical prescriptions, including cobalt-chromium frameworks, dynamic splints, and implant-retained prostheses.
Provide chairside technical support and consultation with clinicians and students for treatment planning, shade matching, and appliance fitting.
Design digital restorations and working models using digital scanning systems and CAD/CAM software.
Operate 3D printers and milling machines to produce accurate restorations and models.
Maintain digital laboratory management records and support service efficiency; contribute to quality assurance and safety compliance.
