What You'll Do:
  • Welcome patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and help with questions throughout their visit.
  • Check patients in and out and communicate with the dental team about arrivals, delays, and scheduling needs.
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, keep patient information accurate, and prepare out‑of‑pocket estimates.
  • Explain financial responsibilities, collect and record payments, assist with account questions, and support daily balancing and deposits.
  • Process referrals and prior authorizations, follow up on outstanding information, and make accounts receivable collection calls.
  • Work with the dental team to address questions, resolve issues, and help patients navigate their care.
  • Maintain accurate patient, financial, and health records while protecting confidential information.
  • Complete scanning, faxing, filing, and other administrative tasks that support the dental office.
  • Follow HIPAA requirements, GSCC policies and procedures, and patient safety practices.
What We’re Looking For:

  • Familiarity with dental terminology and common procedures.
  • Ability to explain insurance, and costs clearly and respectfully.
  • Good judgment when handling confidential information.
  • Effective communication and comfort working closely with the dental team.
Preferred:
  • Dental or healthcare experience.
  • Experience with dental insurance, verification, authorizations, referrals, or patient financial services.
  • Bilingual a plus.
