Job summary

Qualifications

• Active EFDA certification is required.
• In Florida, RDA license or CDA certificate obtained prior to May 2009 per state guidelines.
• Radiography licensure/certification required.
• Minimum of one year dental experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist in clinical procedures and treatments.
• Document and chart dental procedures performed during each patient visit.
• Welcome and escort patients in reception to treatment areas.
• Schedule appointments and assist in appointment confirmation calls.
• Explain insurance benefits and financial options to patients.
• Maintain equipment and stock; re-order as needed.
• Maintain infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with laboratory duties as necessary.
• Recognize signs of dental emergencies and notify staff and medical personnel as needed.
• Attend morning huddles and regular office meetings.
