Job summary

Affordable Dentures & Implants in Montgomery, AL seeks an experienced Dental Front Office Coordinator to be the first contact for patients. You will manage check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, and treatment plan reviews, while coordinating with dentists, assistants, and labs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a dental office or healthcare setting preferred, with patient scheduling or treatment coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance verification, benefit breakdowns, and predeterminations.
  • Experience discussing treatment estimates and patient financing options.
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix preferred).
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and provide a warm, professional first impression.
  • Manage check-in/out, scheduling, confirmations, and recalls.
  • Verify dental insurance benefits, eligibility, and pre-authorizations as applicable.
  • Prepare and review dental treatment plans with patients.
  • Explain treatment recommendations and estimated patient financial responsibility.
  • Collect co-pays and payments and maintain financial records.
  • Maintain accounts receivable and assist with patient billing and collections.
  • Answer multi-line phones and respond to patient questions on appointments, treatment, insurance, and payments.
  • Maintain electronic dental records (EHR/EMR) and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
  • Coordinate communication among patients, dentists, assistants, and lab staff.
  • Support daily office operations to ensure efficient patient flow.

What You'll Do
  • Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional first impression.
  • Manage patient check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, confirmations, and recalls.

  • Maintain accounts receivable (A/R) and assist with patient billing and collections.
  • Answer multi-line phones and respond to patient questions regarding appointments, treatment, insurance, and payments.
  • Maintain accurate electronic dental records (EHR/EMR), patient charts, consent forms, and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, dentists, dental assistants, and laboratory staff.
  • Support daily office operations to ensure an efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a dental office, oral surgery, prosthodontic, periodontic, orthodontic, or other healthcare practice preferred. Experience in treatment coordination, patient scheduling, or patient services.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance verification, benefit breakdowns, claims, and predeterminations.
  • Experience discussing treatment estimates, patient financing, and payment arrangements.
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix (preferred), Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental, or similar).
  • Experience maintaining patient records and scheduling within a dental practice.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
