As a Dental Office Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the administrative and business aspects of our practice. Your leadership and organizational skills will ensure the smooth operation of the office, allowing the dental team to focus on providing exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Managing Staff:
    1. Hire, train, and supervise dental staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
    2. Foster a positive, team-oriented environment that promotes collaboration and professional growth.
  2. Managing Finances:
    1. Oversee financial operations, including billing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
    2. Ensure timely insurance claim submissions and follow up on unpaid claims.
  3. Patient Relations:
    1. Ensure a smooth and positive patient experience, addressing patient concerns and maintaining high standards of care and service.
    2. Handle patient inquiries and manage scheduling to optimize patient flow.
  4. Marketing and Business Development:
    1. Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new patients and retain existing ones.
    2. Promote the practice in the community through local events, social media, and outreach efforts.
  5. Regulatory Compliance:
    1. Ensure the practice complies with all federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA standards.
    2. Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  6. Facility Management:
    1. Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the dental office.
    2. Ensure that the office is fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
  7. Strategic Planning:
    1. Collaborate with the dental team to set long-term goals and growth strategies for the practice.
    2. Monitor and report on key performance metrics to drive practice improvements.
Qualifications:
  1. Education:
    1. High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field is a plus.
  2. Experience:
    1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental office manager or in a similar role.
    2. Strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance billing.
  3. Skills & Competencies:
    1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff, interact with patients, and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
    2. Strong leadership and conflict resolution abilities, with a proven track record of team management.
    3. Highly organized to manage schedules, patient records, and financial documents.
    4. Proficient in dental office software and computer systems (knowledge of Eaglesoft is a plus).
    5. Customer service-oriented, with the ability to ensure that patients receive high-quality care and service.
