Job summary

Plymouth Meeting Family Dental is seeking an Experienced Dental Receptionist for full-time days in Plymouth Meeting, PA. The role supports front office operations, patient scheduling, insurance processing, and daily front desk tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with Dentrix, and a commitment to HIPAA compliance. Heartland Dental backs the office with a focus on learning and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: answer phones, mail, email, and communications with patients/insurers.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records, and coordinate appointments for multiple providers.
• Schedule and confirm multiple provider appointments.
• Process claims, verification of benefits, and explanation of coverage.
• Post payments and manage accounts receivable.
• Review treatment plan fees and patient payment options.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
• Support a patient-centered, efficient front office workflow.

Experienced Dental Receptionist - Full Time position (Tuesday 8am-5pm, Wednesday 10am-7pm,Thursday 8am-4pm, and Friday 7am-3:30pm) + Salary Range of $23-$25/hr based upon experience + Benefits!

• Greet and welcome patients as they enter the officeto create a great first impression of our team

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

Preferred Experience

• 1+years of experiencein a dental or medical setting
• 1+years of experiencewith insurance billing and accountsreceivable
• Dentrix or other dental software experience

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year

This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
