Job summary

National Dentex - H&O Dental Lab in Manchester, NH seeks a Dental Laboratory Technician specializing in Crown & Bridge fabrication to join our growing team.

You will work on porcelain crown fabrication, contouring, staining and glazing, and ensure cases meet Rx specifications. 1–2 years porcelain crowns experience preferred; strong hand skills and attention to detail required. We offer full-time hours with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tooth anatomy and how to articulate according to Rx.
• Experience with dental materials used in crowns and bridges.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Fit all work to a solid poured or digitally printed model.
• Choose correct porcelain for each case.
• Build to correct contour, blend and occlusion.
• Stain and glaze with crown clean-up on posterior restorations.
• Complete esthetic anterior PFZ, PFM and full contour cases.
• Fire at the correct temperature for the required duration.
• Steam clean required items and return to proper pan.
• Complete cases according to work ticket schedule.
• Scan and initial cases as required.
• Perform basic porcelain repairs per policies.

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Laboratory Technician opportunity, specializing in Crown & Bridge fabrication, at NDX H&O Dental Lab in Manchester, NH.

The regular hours for this position are from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

• Fit all work to a solid poured or digitally printed model
• Choose correct porcelain
• Build to correct contour, blend and occlusion
• Stain and glaze with crown clean-up functions on posterior restorations
• Complete esthetic anterior PFZ, PFM and full contour cases
• Fire at the correct temperature and for the appropriate amount of time
• Steam clean required items
• Return items to proper pan
• Complete cases according to work ticket schedule
• Scan and initial cases as required
• Perform basic porcelain repairs according to Technical Team Policies
• All other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities that may be Required:

• Knowledge of tooth anatomy
• Ability to articulate according to Rx
• Knowledge of materials (i.e. stones, acrylic)
• Identify through Impressions margins
• Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• High School diploma or preferred
• 1-2 years’ experience with building porcelain crowns, and 2 or more years contouring monolithic crowns

Hazardous Materials or Equipment that may be Used:

• Laboratory equipment that may include: grinders, lathes, ovens, burners, steamers and boiling water

Physical Abilities that may be Required:

• Sitting for long periods of time, uncommon posture when fabricating and continuous maneuvering of hands and fingers while working with small tools
• Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Repeated bending and kneeling
• Vision capabilities: Depth perception, attention to detail and/or color
• May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 25 pounds
