Job summary

chcp is seeking a Dental Assistant Laboratory Skills Instructor to teach theory and hands-on skills across classroom, simulation and clinical labs in our program.

This part-time role requires coordinating with the Program Director, supervising students in lab and clinical settings, assessing competency through return demonstrations, maintaining equipment and supplies, and staying current with health care standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or post-secondary education required to meet state and ABHES accreditation.
• 5+ years practical teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate and impart knowledge with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned number of classes using prescribed courses and materials.
• Maintains classroom in good physical order.
• Supervises students in lab/clinical settings for respective courses.
• Reviews and orders proper medical supplies for laboratory experience.
• Provides hands-on instruction via demonstrations.
• Assesses learning by evaluating competency with return demonstrations.
• Signs and dates student skill checklists; manages simulation scenarios.
