Job summary

Elk Ridge Community Health seeks a Dental Services Authorization Specialist to liaison between the dental office, providers, and health plans. The role involves meeting patients about coverage, preparing cost estimates, handling denials, scheduling complex treatments, and ensuring accurate approvals through Elk Ridge electronic authorization program.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED with healthcare exposure.
• Three years of healthcare experience handling authorizations, insurance coverage, claims and customer service.
• Three years of experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with dental teams to obtain insurance authorizations and cost estimates.
• Schedule complex treatment appointments including oral surgery and sedation cases.
• Process authorization forms and review ICD-10/ CDT codes for accuracy.
