Job summary

University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Dental Family Practice seeks an Instrument Sterilization Attendant who will decontaminate, clean, identify, and assemble dental instruments across clinics. You’ll support sterilization processes and instrument dispensing while maintaining safety and accuracy.

This role requires an associate degree or equivalent, physical ability to lift heavy loads, and flexibility to cover extended hours, including some weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 2-year equivalent plus 1–2 years of experience is required.
• Dental or medical background is helpful but not required.
• Must be able to push/pull up to 150 lbs and lift up to 100 lbs; follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, cleaning, identification and assembly of dental instruments.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment; update lab logs.
• Cross-train across sterilization steps and support instrument dispensing.
