Job summary

Penn Dental Medicine is hiring an Instrument Sterilization Attendant who will be responsible for decontamination, cleaning, and assembly of dental instruments across Penn Dental Family Practice clinics. The role requires readiness to work in a collaborative team and to learn advanced sterilization techniques.

The Attendant will handle various sterilization equipment, maintain accurate lab logs, and support inventory and ordering as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or two year equivalent with 1–2 years experience or an equivalent combo is required.
• Dental or medical background helpful but not required.
• Flexibility with work schedules: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Some weekend and/or overtime work required.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, identification and assembly of dental instruments.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and update lab logs daily/weekly/monthly.
• Cross-train across the sterilization process and assist in dispensing instruments to providers.
• Perform other duties as assigned and contribute to innovative solutions for Penn Dental Medicine.
