Responsibilities

• Perform licensed hygiene procedures and educate patients.
• Manage the nonsurgical periodontal program as directed by the dentist.
• Build and maintain patient care relationships.
• Verify and document patient health history and educate on oral health.
• Perform clinical hygiene functions like x-rays, blood pressure, prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and assist with restorative treatments.
• Apply sealants, Arestin, and fluoride treatments as needed.

Qualifications

• Dental hygiene certification from an accredited school.
• Current hygiene license.
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control training.
• Experience with dental software.
