Qualifications

The Registered Dental Hygienist directs oral hygiene care for KPDCP members, including comprehensive prevention, maintenance, therapeutic dental treatment, and/or restorative services. The RDH educates members on their oral health, motivating them to achieve and maintain optimal oral health.

  • Provide direct patient oral hygiene care, including prevention, maintenance, and therapeutic/restorative services.
  • Document patients' oral health data in compliance with policies.
  • Provide oral hygiene instruction and education.
  • Maintain a clinical work environment following health and safety standards.
  • Support other office functions during downtime to promote teamwork and a positive environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program with an associate's degree in applied science.

Licenses and Certifications: Dental Hygienist License (Oregon), National Provider Identifier, Basic Life Support.

Additional Requirements
  • Note: WA Limited License not acceptable.
  • Oregon license endorsement for local anesthesia included in Washington license.
  • Daily use of X-ray equipment, ultrasonic scalers, and handpieces.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nitrous oxide permit
  • Knowledge of sterilization and infection control
  • Basic computer skills
Additional Notes
  • Available three weekdays and some Saturdays.
  • Variable days and times.
  • Travel to Cedar Hills, Aloha, Beaverton, Tigard, Tanasbourne dental offices.
