Job description

Community Medical and Dental Care, Inc., located in Rockland County, NY, has a part-time position available for a Dental Hygienist to work on Sundays only. Join an enthusiastic team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients. Candidates must be experienced, have a good bedside manner, and be a team player.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with oral health management of all patients
2. Verify the identity of patients before administering treatment
3. Obtain oral health assessment of each patient (new-baseline; follow-up)
4. Review medical history and other pertinent oral health information
5. Provide oral hygiene services including dental prophylaxis scaling, sealant application, and fluoride application consistent with accepted best practices and standards
6. Provide dental assistance as directed by the dentist
7. Provide oral health education and individual counseling to each patient according to known oral health care practices (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing)
8. Document provided dental services on the patient’s chart

Qualifications:

1. State-registered Dental Hygienist
2. 1+ years of experience in a dental office
3. Experience with electronic dental records
4. Must be available to work on Sundays
