Job summary

Union Community Care in Lancaster, PA is seeking a licensed dental hygienist for a 1.0 FTE position with a $10k sign-on bonus. You will provide dental hygiene care and patient education in a community health setting.

Responsibilities include charting, continuing education, and ensuring prior authorizations where needed; credentialing via UCC; strong English skills required.

Qualifications

• Active Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist License.
• Dental Hygiene degree from accredited school.
• Successful completion of Union Community Care’s credentialing process.
• Participation in all insurance plans that UCC accepts.
• Some administrative experience preferred.
• English proficiency required.

• Provide dental hygiene care for patients.
• Facilitate oral health education for patients both clinically and in outreach settings.
• Maintain legible, legal documentation in patient charts as directed by department policies.
• Participate in continuing education to stay abreast on new techniques and procedures in the field of dentistry.
• Code procedures following each dental visit.
• Follow processes for ensuring prior authorization is received before initiation of procedures that require prior authorization.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
