Job summary

Union Community Care in Pennsylvania seeks a licensed Dental Hygienist to provide preventive care and patient education across clinic and outreach settings. You will perform dental hygiene services, maintain accurate patient records, code procedures, and ensure prior authorizations when required, while pursuing continuing education and team collaboration.

Experience with Head Start programs and community outreach is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Active Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist License.
• Dental Hygiene degree from an accredited school.
• Credentialing process with Union Community Care.
• Participation in all insurance plans that UCC accepts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the quality of patient care and recommend improvements.
• Develop educational programs for Head Start and other community agencies.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Dental Director.
• Provide dental hygiene care for patients.
• Facilitate oral health education for patients in clinic and outreach.
• Maintain legible, legal documentation in patient charts.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current in the field.
• Accurately code procedures following each dental visit.
• Follow processes to secure prior authorization when required.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
