The candidate should have a dental hygiene degree, North Dakota licensure, and relevant clinical experience. The position is on-site with a focus on community and patient-centered care.

Formación

• Graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Two years' experience in dental hygiene preferred.
• Licensure in North Dakota.

Responsabilidades

• Provide oral health assessment, dental prophylaxis including scaling and root planning, and oral hygiene instruction.
• Takes radiographs on patients including bitewing, periapical, occlusal, and panoramic X-ray.
• Performs gross debridement in treatment of acute and chronic periodontal conditions.
• Instructs patients at chairside in oral hygiene and periodontal care techniques.
• Plans and adapts home care instructions to patient needs.
• Explains causes of periodontal disease and the link to diet and systemic health.
• Performs duties as delegated by dentist and state law.
• Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing instruments and disinfecting equipment.
• Maintain patient health information with privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Follow HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and National Patient Safety Goals.
• Assist dental team to expedit e care and participate in program committees.
