Job summary

Pediatric Dentistry of Avenue U in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a compassionate Dental Hygienist for a part-time role on Wednesdays and Fridays. You’ll perform cleanings, educate families, and help create a kid-friendly, welcoming office atmosphere.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene, a NYS license, and strong communication skills; pediatric experience and CPR are a plus. Join a supportive team focused on excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene (Required)
• Valid NYS Dental Hygienist License (Required)
• Pediatric dental experience preferred
• CPR Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanings, fluoride treatments, and apply sealants
• Conduct oral health assessments and screenings
• Educate children and families on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Accurately record patient medical and dental histories
• Maintain a clean, safe, and kid-friendly clinical environment
• Collaborate with dentists, assistants, and front office staff
• Provide occasional front desk support as needed

Work Schedule

• 2 days/ week Wednesdays & Fridays
• Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flexibility available)
• Occasional travel to our other offices (within a reasonable distance) may be requested
