Job summary

Lancaster Family Dental LLC is seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team part-time in Lancaster, Ohio. You will provide professional dental hygiene care, including cleanings, patient assessments, and education, while collaborating closely with dentists and staff in a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include imaging, charting, and practicing strict infection control, with emphasis on pediatric and general dentistry.

Qualifications

• Current RDH license and Ohio X-ray certification
• Experience in pediatric and general dentistry settings
• Strong infection control practices and HIPAA compliance
• Excellent patient education and teamwork skills
• Proficient with dental imaging and EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and assessments for patients of all ages
• Utilize imaging techniques to aid diagnosis and treatment planning
• Take vital signs and document medical history per HIPAA guidelines
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Assist dentists chairside, including four-handed dentistry
• Maintain patient records and medical coding accurately
• Uphold infection control and sterilization protocols
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver comprehensive care

Lancaster Family Dental LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional dental hygiene care, including cleanings, patient assessments, and oral health education, while maintaining a safe, comfortable environment. You will collaborate closely with our dentists and staff, supporting both pediatric and general dentistry patients.

Pay

• $36 - $41 per hour
• - Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Shift & Schedule

Monday and Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements

• License & Certification: Licensed dental hygienist, X-ray / Radiography Certification
• Software Experience: Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Dexis

• Current Registered Dental Hygienist license
• Experience working in a dental office or clinic environment
• Proficient knowledge of infection prevention and control
• Skilled in oral hygiene education and patient counseling
• Familiar with dental imaging procedures and equipment operation
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
• Basic familiarity with electronic medical records and dental software systems (Open Dental preferred)

Preferences

• Experience with pediatric dentistry
• Proficiency in medical coding related to dental care
• Experience using Open Dental software
• Knowledge of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)
• Previous experience in four-handed dentistry

Job Description

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and patient assessments for all ages, including pediatric patients
• Utilize dental imaging techniques (panoramic, bitewing, occlusal, periapical, Cone Beam CT) to assist in diagnosis
• Take vital signs and accurately document medical histories following HIPAA guidelines
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive health care
• Assist dentists chairside, including four-handed dentistry procedures
• Maintain patient records, manage medical coding, and ensure confidentiality
• Implement strict infection control, aseptic techniques, and disinfection protocols to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
• Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical best practices
