Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers, Inc. seeks a part-time dental hygienist to implement oral health education programs in high-need schools across New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, organized, and capable of working independently while conducting educational programs that improve children's oral health.
Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers, Inc. Children's Oral Health Program is seeking a part-time (12 hrs./week – two 6-hour days) dental hygienist to implement oral health education programs in Atlantic, Cape May, Burlington, and Ocean Counties.
The goal of the program is to improve the oral health status of New Jersey school children, specifically targeting high-need/high-risk schools in identified counties. This position reports to the Regional Oral Health Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will possess:
Reliable transportation is necessary. The candidate will travel to schools and community organizations to conduct education programs and distribute supplies. Attendance at 2 statewide meetings per year is required. The candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs. Dental hygienists with volunteer experience are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will be asked to present a brief tooth brushing demonstration for school-aged children as part of the interview process.
