Note: This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Remove tartar, stains, and plaque from teeth.
  2. Apply sealants and fluorides to protect teeth.
  3. Take and develop dental x-rays.
  4. Maintain patient care and treatment plans.
  5. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, such as proper brushing and flossing.
  6. Depending on employment state, place and carve filling materials, and apply periodontal dressings.
  7. Assist in managing daily activities and prioritize tasks.
  8. Use computers to access email, electronic calendars, and support software.
  9. Adhere to all applicable standards and guidelines.
  10. Participate in meetings and task forces to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, and stay updated on new developments and policies.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or certificate in dental hygiene.
  • Successful completion of an accredited educational program as per regulatory standards, and certification as a radiographer.
  • Relevant experience in private practice or healthcare facilities demonstrating core competencies.
  • Knowledge in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, radiography, and periodontology.
  • Current unrestricted license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Participation in required training, including HIPAA.
  • Recent clinical experience in patient care (minimum 6 months in the past year).
  • Proficiency in English communication skills.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
  • Work typically performed in an interior/office environment.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing.
