Job Summary

The Registered Dental Hygienist directs oral hygiene care for KPDCP members, including comprehensive prevention, maintenance, therapeutic dental treatment, and/or restorative services. The RDH educates members about their oral health status, motivating them to achieve and maintain optimum oral health.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct patient oral hygiene care, including prevention, maintenance, and therapeutic services.
  2. Document patient oral health data in compliance with policies and procedures.
  3. Provide oral hygiene instruction and education.
  4. Maintain a clean and safe clinical work environment.
  5. Support other office functions during downtime to promote a cooperative and positive work environment.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education

Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program with an associate's degree in applied science.

Licenses and Certifications
  • Dental Hygienist License (Oregon)
  • National Provider Identifier
  • Basic Life Support
Additional Requirements
  • Note: WA Initial and Renewable Limited Licenses are not acceptable.
  • Oregon Dental Hygiene license endorsement for local anesthesia included in Washington State license.
  • Daily use of X-ray equipment, ultrasonic scalers, and handpieces.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nitrous oxide permit
  • Knowledge of sterilization and infection control
  • Basic computer skills
  • Restorative function endorsement (included in Washington State license)
Additional Information

Travel to various locations including Grand Ave, Eastmoreland, Glisan, Clackamas, Johnson Creek, Rockwood, and Oregon City Dental.
