About the Role

We are seeking an outgoing, friendly, and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our fast-paced dental practice. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, a passion for oral health, and the ability to create a comfortable and positive experience for patients of all ages.

Previous dental hygiene experience is preferred, and a current, valid dental hygienist license is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable before, during, and after their appointments.
• Review patients' medical and dental histories and conduct initial oral health assessments.
• Examine patients for signs of gingivitis, tooth decay, periodontal disease, and other oral health concerns.
• Perform professional dental cleanings, remove plaque and tartar, and apply fluoride or other preventive treatments as appropriate.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and preventive dental care.
• Provide post-treatment instructions and guidance following dental procedures.
• Take dental X-rays and impressions as permitted by applicable licensing requirements.
• Assist dentists in identifying oral health concerns and developing appropriate treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records, clinical notes, and dental charts.
• Properly sterilize instruments and maintain dental equipment in accordance with infection control and safety standards.
• Follow HIPAA requirements and all applicable health and safety regulations.
• Monitor dental supplies and notify the appropriate team members when restocking is needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid dental hygienist license in the state of practice.
• Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
• Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred.
