As a Dental Hygienist at our Alsip location, you will provide thorough prophylaxis, periodontal care, and cancer screening while delivering exceptional patient service. A Illinois hygiene license is required, and benefits include medical, vision, life/AD&D, and a 401(k) plan.

• IL hygiene license is required to practice in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive experience throughout the patient interaction from contact to greeting, seating and completing their in-clinic visit.
• Exhibit excellent customer service to create a positive patient experience and ensure all treatment is provided with awareness of individual patient needs and concerns.
• Remove calculus deposits, accretions, stains, and cement from supra and sub-gingival surfaces of the teeth.
• Perform deep periodontal scaling, including root planing when prescribed.
• Complete extra-oral and intra-oral cancer exams and feel lymph nodes on head and neck area to detect swelling or tenderness that could indicate cancer.
• Examine teeth and attachment to locate periodontally-recessed tissue and signs of periodontal disease prior to exam by the dentist.
• Chart conditions of decay and disease for treatment as diagnosed by the dentist during examination.
