Job description

We are looking for a Hygienist to join our team at Smokey Point Family Dentistry. We’re committed to providing modern, conservative care to all our patients, while making them feel like they’re right at home. Our team helps patients feel confident in their smiles and builds lasting relationships.

Location: Arlington WA, 98223

Compensation: $68-72/hour + Sign-on Bonus

Schedule: Monday 11-7, Tues 11-7, Thurs 8-4, Fri 8-2, with possible one or two Sat 8-2 a month (hours are flexible)

Job Responsibilities:

• Sterilizing instruments
• Taking x-rays and intraoral photos
• Scheduling patients
• Dental charting and coding
• Developing and presenting treatment plans
• Collaborating with Dentist on treatment recommendations and assisting when necessary
• Educating patients on treatment and dental hygiene
• Performing hygiene procedures tailored to each patient, such as prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance
• Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols
• Administrative tasks like answering phones, calling labs, and patient follow-up calls
• Stocking supplies and maintaining equipment
• Accurately documenting and maintaining Patient Health Information
• Collaborating with team members

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from ADA Accredited Dental Hygiene Program
• Current state licensure
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Proficiency in dental management software such as Open Dental or Dentrix
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
