Dental Hygienist

A Dental Hygienist is needed in Great Barrington, MA.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: $43.00 - $48.00 per hour
• Base Salary: $89,440 - $100,000 annually
• Full-time, 40 hours per week with benefits

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical and dental histories for all patients
• Perform intra-oral and extra-oral exams, including screenings for periodontal disease
• Take dental radiographs as needed
• Provide prophylaxis cleaning, polishing of teeth, and root scaling and planing
• Offer patient education on oral hygiene, periodontal disease, and preventative care
• Work closely with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans
• Make necessary referrals to specialists when appropriate
• Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix and other required software
• Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols
• Assist in administrative and reception duties as needed, including answering phones and scheduling appointments
• Support dental center security and emergency response when necessary

Requirements

• Valid Massachusetts Dental Hygienist license
• Associate s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited school
• Current CPR certification
• Proficiency in Dentrix and other dental software
• Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
• Ability to provide compassionate care and patient education
• Physical stamina to meet the demands of a fast-paced dental clinic
