Job description

We have a state-of-the-art dental practice at Tinker Air Force Base as part of Army and Air Force Exchange Services, specifically servicing Military Families and Military Veterans. Our practice has a family feel, and we focus on building relationships with our patients to provide the best quality care.

Responsibilities

1. Participate in daily morning team huddle and weekly Hygiene Huddle.
2. Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
3. Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis.
4. Apply fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
5. Chart conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
6. Present Treatment Plans to patients and provide health education to improve and maintain oral health.
7. Take dental x-rays and impressions.
8. Record treatment information in patient records.
9. Maintain strong organizational skills.
10. Able to build rapport with patients.
11. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Requirements

1. Current Registered State Dental Hygienist License.
2. At least 1-2 years of Dental Hygienist experience.
3. X-Ray Certified.
4. CPR/BLS certification.
5. Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
6. Willingness to obtain a Real ID prior to starting.
7. Knowledge of Dentrix preferred (training will be provided).
8. Extensive HIPAA knowledge.
