Westend Dental of Lincoln Park in Chicago is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to join our modern practice on a full-time or part-time basis. You will provide preventive care, perform cleaning and radiography, and support patient education in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Software Experience: Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft
• Current license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Illinois (required)
• Strong clinical skills with a commitment to patient comfort and education
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional demeanor
• Familiarity with dental software systems and digital imaging (preferred but not required)
• Willingness to participate in training programs and continuous professional development

Preferences

• Experience working in a dental office with modern equipment and technology
• Familiarity with digital charting and radiographic imaging
• Previous participation in continuing education and dental training programs

Job Description

• Perform dental hygiene procedures including teeth cleaning, scaling, root planing, and fluoride application
• Conduct patient assessments to evaluate oral health conditions and identify the need for further treatment
• Educate patients about oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-procedural instructions
• Utilize digital radiography and other diagnostic tools to support treatment planning
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA and office protocols
• Collaborate with dentists and team members to provide comprehensive patient care
• Adhere to infection control and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with dental practices and innovations
