Job description

We are looking for a Hygienist to join our team at Tuttle Family Dentistry!

We’re committed to providing modern, conservative care to all our patients, while making them feel like they’re right at home. Our team makes our patients feel confident in their smiles while creating lasting, meaningful relationships along the way.

Open to FT and PT Candidates

Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80923

Compensation: $52-57/hour

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Sterilizing instruments
2. Taking x-rays and intraoral photos
3. Scheduling patients
4. Dental charting and coding
5. Developing and presenting treatment plans
6. Collaborating with Dentist on treatment recommendations and assisting when necessary
7. Educating patients on treatment and dental hygiene
8. Performing hygiene procedures tailored to each patient diagnosis such as prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, and periodontal maintenance
9. Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols
10. Administrative tasks such as answering phones, calling labs, and patient follow-up calls
11. Stocking supplies and maintaining equipment
12. Accurately documenting and maintaining Patient Health Information
13. Collaboration with team members

Qualifications:

1. Associate’s degree from ADA Accredited Dental Hygiene Program
2. Current state licensure
3. Current CPR/BLS certification
4. Proficiency in dental patient management software such as Open Dental or Dentrix
5. Strong teamwork and communication skills
6. Ability to multi-task
7. Attention to detail
8. Adaptability
