Job summary

Western Dental Services, Inc. is seeking a enthusiastic dental hygienist to build and maintain positive relationships with patients while performing preventative dental procedures and educating patients on oral hygiene.

You will work with the dentist(s) to provide excellent care and help patients achieve their best smiles. The role emphasizes patient education, prevention, and the mentorship of the hygiene team, with opportunities for growth and advancement within a supportive corporate

Qualifications

• A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Excellent verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff.
• Ability to travel between locations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral hygiene services including thorough and gentle prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventative agents such as fluorides and sealant applications
• Accurately chart a review of patient dental history and update as necessary, patient's periodontal health, record provided treatment, and handle patient records securely and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide assistance as directed by the dentist
• Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by dental practice act
